Our Story

Symbol Projects was founded in 1992. We started off with two staff members and one vehicle operating in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg. The business has grown over the years, and we have now for many years been focusing on new builds and heritage home renovations, alongside this we also offer a wide array of services such as professional painting, damp proofing and waterproofing services.

We are a family run business and have a hands on management style, we pride ourselves on our reputation and longstanding time in the residential construction market.

We also pride ourselves in being a turnkey solution to all our clients construction needs, ensuring that once they appoint us on their projects, the process is seamless, and as many clients always say a pleasure !

Our Mission

Our mission at Symbol Projects is to keep growing in the residential market, tackling New builds and Renovations, We have grown to a size where we now have also started doing projects at offices and small shopping centres, we are excited about these projects and hope to keep growing in the commercial sector as well.

We have over the years done many projects for our clients outside of Johannesburg. We have full teams and managers that can tackle projects almost anywhere. We recently renovated a lodge in the Tuli Block of Botswana which was a very special and exciting project. In the midlands we recently completed an extension and renovation to a heritage farm house. We have also worked in Cape Town where we completed a very large renovation for one of our clients who we had done many projects for in Johannesburg. 

We are also excited to announce the launch of a new branch of Symbol Projects, namely Symbol Painting with the main focus of giving clients a seamless painting experience with a guarantee they can trust. We have been painting and damp proofing houses in Johannesburg for over 30 years now, We have noticed the demand for such services is as high as ever, hence we have decided to create and entire branch to service these demands.
